Merve Mehan is a multidiscipline designer based in Istanbul. She was born in 1994, she discovered her interest for lighting products during her university years and entered the industry in 2018.

Mehan passionately follows her path of expressing emotions and thoughts through her designs. Starting at Turkey's largest manufacturing company, Bahar Lighting, she mastered all stages of production, developing technical and design skills. Her work on notable hospitality projects and collaborations with top architects and designers enriched her experience.
At Waxy Design Studio, Mehan not only manages the brand but also creates contemporary designs like the Torch, Candle, Arch, and Mushroom. Her brand, Flamp, symbolizes friendship with its table and floor lamps, and her collections—including Balance, Abundance, Simplicity, and Inclusion—reflect her commitment to design excellence. Today, Mehan continues to lead both Waxy and Flamp.
